Lines of Research:

• Biochemical study in pathologies such as cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, and metabolic disorders, with emphasis on mitochondrial function, energy metabolism, and oxidative stress, and protective mechanisms induced by physical exercise.

Models used: cell culture, biopsies of various tissues and isolated mitochondria, rodents, and Drosophila melanogaster.
